How to Manage Workspace Service User
In order to run certain tasks, e.g., workflows, Databook requires the use of service users. These service users are essential for automating processes and ensuring that workflows always have a specific user.
Below are the commands to manage service users:
Register a Service User:
To register your current Slack user as a service user (enabling workflows), use the following command:/databook service-user register
This will assign your current user as the service user for the workspace, allowing you to run workflows.
View Service User Information:
If you need to check details about the current service user, use:/databook service-user info
This command will display the status and details of the service user in your workspace.
Unregister a Service User:
If you no longer need a service user or wish to disconnect one, use the following command:/databook service-user unregister
This will remove the service user from your workspace, breaking any associated workflows.
Workflows do not have an associated user by default, which is why service user is needed to run.
