This page rounds up what's shipped in Databook recently, most recent first.
AI Studio for Every User
Rolling out from September 2026
AI Studio has been available only to organization admins for the past year. That's changing: AI Studio is going to be available to every individual user, organization by organization, starting in September 2026.
If it's enabled for your organization, anyone can build and run their own coaches, prompts, and SmartTemplate assets, not just admins. Anything published at the organization level stays under admin control.
If AI Studio isn't showing for you yet, it hasn't been enabled for your organization yet. Check with your Databook account team for timing.
Coach Studio Natural-Language Editing
Released August 2026
Coach Studio lets you clone any of Databook's coaches and reshape it by describing the change you want, in plain English. Ask for a step to be added or removed, a different data source, or a different tone or format for the output, and Coach Studio updates the coach accordingly.
The coach library is now searchable and easier to browse, base coaches sit in their own Templates section, and you can preview a coach with its source citations before publishing it, rename it in place, and roll back to any earlier saved version. Cloning a coach never changes the original, so it stays available to the rest of your organization while you customize your own copy.
This makes it possible to match Databook to your team's actual sales motion (meeting preparation, prospecting, or your own value narrative) without needing engineering support, and to experiment freely since every version is saved.

Slack integration for the Decision System and Customer Context Graph
Released August 2026
Databook now reads public Slack channel activity and brings it into your account intelligence, capturing the deal activity that often never makes it into the CRM.
Once your admin installs the Slack integration, Databook maps your channels to accounts using your CRM records and turns the conversation, including thread replies, into structured facts and narrative threads attached to each account. Slack evidence is blended with everything else Databook knows about an account, so a single insight might draw on a call, a CRM update, and a Slack message together, with every claim traceable back to its source.
Access is read only, and only public channels are read. Private channels and direct messages are never read, and your data stays in your own isolated environment.

SmartTemplate Studio (Beta)
Released July 2026
SmartTemplate Studio turns a PowerPoint or Word file into a reusable, AI-powered asset your team can generate for any account, with your design and messaging staying consistent while the content adapts.
Recent additions include support for charts inside generated assets, one-click publishing and unpublishing, the ability to download your original template, a choice of output type, generation for a named buyer or executive as well as a company, faster previews, and adoption analytics so you can see which assets your team is actually using.
If you're setting up account plans, executive briefings, QBR decks, or first-call decks by hand today, SmartTemplate Studio lets you configure the template once and let your whole team generate it on demand, account by account.
SmartTemplate Studio is in beta. Contact your account team to get access.

Account Prioritisation and AI Signals at Scale
Released July 2026
Databook's account prioritization service now runs at greater scale, with improved account matching and AI Signals across six categories of insight.
Send your account list, or describe the firmographic profile you're targeting, and Databook matches it against its company database and returns scores in the format you need. Scoring includes an overall Databook Score plus four subscores (financial case for change, management intent, buying cycle, and investor sentiment), and a separate score for each use case at each account. Scores can be delivered as a one-off snapshot or as a daily updating feed to a Databricks table in your own environment.
AI Signals go further, answering specific questions about an account across strategic priorities, web intelligence, buyer insights, technographics, earnings transcripts, and financial insights, so you can qualify accounts against exactly the criteria you care about rather than a generic score.
Prompt Studio Improvements
Released July 2026
Prompts in Prompt Studio now have display names, so a long or complex prompt is recognizable at a glance instead of being judged by its opening words. Admins can also use variables beyond account, which widens the range of prompts your organization can configure.
The prompt drawer has been reorganized with tabs, the editor has been refreshed, and terminology has been simplified (you'll see "variable" instead of "token"). You also get a searchable library spanning coaches, prompts, and assets, so it's easier to find what's already been built for you.

Gong integration for the Decision System and Customer Context Graph
Released July 2026
Gong call transcripts now flow into Databook, so what was actually said on a customer call becomes part of that account's intelligence, alongside your CRM data and Databook's own insights.
Once connected, Databook syncs new calls and transcripts from Gong roughly every two hours, matches each call to the right account, contact, or lead in your CRM, and extracts the material events from the conversation, including deal status, stated requirements, stakeholders, competitive mentions, next steps, risks, and success signals. These appear on the account timeline tagged as coming from Gong, so you can always see where the information came from.
Access is read only. Private calls, internal-only calls, and calls with no CRM record attached are all excluded before anything reaches your account timeline. Calls typically appear in Databook the day after the call takes place.

Databook MCP Server (Beta)
Released July 2026
The Databook MCP server lets you use Databook directly from AI applications like Claude or Microsoft Copilot, without building against an API yourself.
It implements the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI clients to external tools, so any client that supports MCP can connect. Through it you can ask Databook questions and run coaches from inside your AI client, and use purpose-built tools for the questions asked most often: company summaries, financial performance, earnings call summaries and analyst issues, key developments, management initiatives, industry priorities, and product alignment, among others.
