If you're an Organization Admin, you can pin one asset and one coach for your organization. Pinned items appear at the top of Recommended in Where to start on the home page and in the library, for everyone in your organization, above the items Databook sorts for each person.
Why pin an asset or a coach
Recommendations are sorted for each person by their role and what your organization uses. Pinning lets you make sure the workflows that matter most to your organization are always the first thing your users see, whatever their role. For example:
The coach your rollout is built around, so every user can start it in one click
Your organization's version of an asset, so users find it ahead of similar Databook assets
Before you start
You need the Organization Admin role. See User roles in Databook.
You can pin one asset and one coach. The pin applies to everyone in your organization; you can't set different pins for different teams.
The asset or coach must already be available to your organization.
Pin an asset or a coach
Open the Admin Console and go to Config.
Open Pinned asset & coach.
Under Pinned asset, choose the asset you want to pin.
Under Pinned coach, choose the coach you want to pin.
Select Save.
You can pin an asset only, a coach only, or both.
Remove a pin
Open Pinned asset & coach.
Select Clear.
Select Save.
Recommendations go back to the standard order for each user.

Pinned items look like any other recommendation and open ready to run. Everything else your users have access to still appears below them, and their Favorites are unchanged.
Choosing what to pin
Pick items that are useful to everyone in your organization, since the pin applies to every role.
Choose the asset or coach that best shows the value of Databook for your teams, as it's the first thing new users will see.
Review your pins when you change which assets or coaches your organization uses.
Troubleshooting
Problem | What to check |
Users don't see the new pin | Ask them to refresh the home page. A change shows up the next time the page loads. |
The pinned asset has disappeared | Check the asset is still turned on for your organization. A pinned asset that's no longer available isn't shown. Pin a different asset if needed. |
The asset or coach I want isn't in the list | Check it's available to your whole organization. Contact your account team if you need it turned on. |
