What is the Prompt Studio?
The Prompt Studio is a centralized space in Databook where Admins and Owners can view, create, edit, categorize, and manage prompts used across their organization.
Who can access and manage prompts?
Builders, Strategists and Organization Admins can create and manage prompts. Builders can make prompts visible to themselves only. Strategists and Organization Admins can also make prompts visible to everyone in the organization. Users don't have access to Prompt Studio. See User roles in Databook.
Who sees a prompt I create?
That depends on the prompt's Visibility setting. Only me shows it in your Prompt Library only. Everyone in my organization shows it to every user in your organization.
What’s the difference between Foundational and Custom prompts?
Foundational prompts are prebuilt by Databook. They can’t be edited or deleted, but you can assign categories or duplicate them to create custom versions.
Custom prompts are fully editable and can be created, categorized, and deleted by Admins.
How do I categorize prompts studio?
You can assign or create categories when editing or creating prompts. Categories help organize prompts by use case (e.g. Prospecting, Outreach). You can filter by category in the Prompt Library. Organization Admins can create and manage categories in the Customer Admin Console.
Can I test prompts studio before saving them?
Yes. You can preview how prompts studio will look, including placeholder text like {account}, using the “Test Prompt” button before saving.
What happens when I delete a prompt or category?
When you delete a prompt, it’s removed from the library in real time, and its category remains available for reuse. If you delete a category, any prompts previously assigned to it will remain active but appear uncategorized.
Where can I find this feature?
Go to Studio > Prompts in the left-hand navigation.
